Not only can eligible retirees receive $4,873 on April 17 and 24 from Social Security. April 10 could also be your payment date this week. The thing is these large payments are just for those who meet all the requirements the Administration set.
For example, the upcoming Social Security checks are not for those on benefits before May 1997. What is more, the rest of the recipients must have their birthdays on certain days.

SOCIAL SECURITY OF $4,873 & ELIGIBILITY
American workers who have been high earners most of their lives should be aware of this. If you have earned the taxable for more than 35 years, you may be eligible for $4,873 in 2024.
The thing is a worker who has earned the taxable maximum for 35 years must also file at the age of 70. In this way, they can benefit from a 24% reward from Social Security.
Early filing would leave high earners with a check of up to $2,710. Filing at Full Retirement Age is not a bad option either, but it will only give you up to $3,822 in 2024.
SOCIAL SECURITY & APRIL PAYDAYS
The Administration will send more checks on April 10, 17 and 24. Whether you qualify for $4,873 or less, you must meet the birthday condition. Unless your birthday is from 1-10, you will not receive your check on April 10.
April 17 will be the payment date for those whose birth date is from the 11th to the 21st said Social Security. Therefore, there will be just one remaining payment on April 24 if your birthdate is not on the previous dates. That is your check will be due on April 24 if the day you were born is from the 21st to the 31st.
Social Security payments include the COLA boost for 2024. That is the reason why they can get $4,873, and not $4,555 (maximum retirement benefit in 2023). After these retirement checks, SSI will be the next payment to arrive on May 1.
