If you did not qualify for the April 3 payment from Social Security, is because you are not on SSI and you got a retirement or disability check after April 30, 1997.
Since the second Social Security check is just for those whose birthday is from 1-10, you are not entitled to that one either. Then, you will qualify for the third payment in less than 2 weeks.
SOCIAL SECURITY CHECK – BIRTHDAY FROM 11-20
American retirees and disability recipients whose birthdays are from the eleventh to the twentieth will get a new check on April 17. Therefore, this payment from Social Security will take place on the third Wednesday in April 2024.
April 17 will not be the last payment this month. Another group of retirees and disability recipients will collect another payment later in the month. They will be the last ones to receive money from Social Security.
Therefore, the last payment will be due on April 24 for those whose birth date is from 21-31. Social Security has also revealed the new average payments and possible maximum amounts if eligible.
CHECK AMOUNTS FOR APRIL 17
The maximum amounts will be the same for April 3, 10, 17, and 24. Hence, if you get the largest Social Security check, you could receive $4,873 in retirement from the Administration.
That is only possible if you have worked for 35 years, earned the taxable maximum all the time, and filed at 70. If you achieve the same but file at 62 it can be up to $2,710. At Full Retirement Age, it can be up to $3,822.
$3,822 is also the same amount of money for those disability recipients who collect the largest payment from Social Security. The average check for disability beneficiaries is worth about $1,536 and $1,910 for retirees said Social Security.
