SNAP is the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and it was previously known as Food Stamps. Even if it is a Federal program and you can save money using these benefits in-store or online when you need groceries, States administer applications and paydays.

For example, Alaska sent all the SNAP benefit payments to EBT cards on August 1, 2024. Therefore, all recipients got money back then and their next payday will be September 1, 2024. However, Texas and Florida will carry on sending money to EBT cards through August 28.

Which States are sending SNAP benefits this week or the next one?

According to USDA’s FNS the States that have Food Stamps paydays left in August are just 17. What is more, Puerto Rico will also send money to EBT cards through August 22. So, there are 4 paydays left in August. Check the full list below:

A family of 4 can receive up to $973 from SNAP, but the average check is worth about $713. Food Stamp recipients will benefit from the 2025 COLA increase from October 1, 2024.
