USDA and the FNS send monthly SNAP payments to American households with a low income so they can afford to buy nutritious food. Once you receive Food Stamps on your EBT card, you can get groceries in-store or online.
If you are new in the United States or you have recently joined the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, it is time to learn the stores where you can make your purchases.
SNAP Online Purchasing in August 2024
More and more stores have joined the Food Stamps program since the Online Purchasing Pilot initiative began. In this way, recipients can choose the stores that offer what they need and for less money.
All you have to do is visit https://www.fns.usda.gov/snap/online and check where the store you would like to visit is. Bear in mind that the New York City SNAP-eligible stores are not on the map.
The Food Stamps program does not always have the same name. So it may be confusing sometimes. For example, if you live in LA, California, it is known as CalFresh rather than SNAP. In alphabetical order, you can use your EBT card in California in Albertsons, ALDI, Amazon, Andronico’s Community Markets, and so on.
