The State of California issues CalFresh payments from December 1 through December 10. It is not the only State that sends SNAP benefits during these days. Others are South Carolina, Oklahoma, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas and Nevada.
In fact, the way California arranges SNAP paydays has to do with the CalFresh case number. So, if the last digit of your Food Stamps number is 1, you will receive benefits on December 1.
Who can receive CalFresh (SNAP) from December 2 through December 10?
To receive SNAP benefits on December 2 your case number must end in 2. As you can see, it follows a logical order so it is easy to know when your next CalFresh payment will be sent if you know the number your case ends.
Californians whose CalFresh number ends in 3 will get their benefit payments on December 3, 2024. Therefore, if yours ends in 4, you will get monthly benefits on December 4, 2024.
As you may have guessed, the SNAP payments on December 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th will be for those recipients whose case number ends in 5, 6, 7 8, 9, or 0 respectively.
CalFresh payment amounts for SNAP recipients
The maximum amount of your CalFresh check can be up to $292 if you are an individual. A couple or family of 2 members can receive up to $536 from USDA. Families of 3 in California can get up to $768.
Bear in mind that the largest Food Stamp payment for 4 will be up to $975 for eligible recipients in California. Families of 5 can collect a monthly payment of up to $1,158. But if you are 6, it can be up to $1,390.
Although the largest maximum amount will be for a family of 8, up to $1,756, there is an additional payment of $220 for each extra family member. SNAP is compatible with other payments like SSI or Social Security (retirement or SSDI), so apply to get money for food and save cash on this necessary expense.
