SNAP or CalFresh payments are on the way for many eligible recipients in California. While some Food Stamp beneficiaries may have already received money on their EBT cards, others are still waiting for it.
The days when California sends CalFresh are from the 1st to the 10th of September, therefore, there are five paydays left for SNAP recipients. As for the maximum amounts, you can see them below.
CalFresh (SNAP) eligibility in September
Have a look at your SNAP case number if you do not know it by heart. Then, check if your case number ends in 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10. Those will be the only remaining Food Stamp payments in California this month.
- If your case number ends in 6, benefits will be provided on the 6th of September.
- For case numbers ending in 7, benefits are issued on the 7th of the month.
- A case number ending in 8 means benefits will be distributed on the 8th of the month.
- If the case number concludes with 9, benefits will be available on the 9th of the month.
- A case number ending in 0 results in benefits being available on the 10th of the month.
Those whose case number ends in 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 will get money in October. This is because they have already received their money in September. So, they can make use of it if they have already spent it.
CalFresh (SNAP) payment amounts
The amount of your Food Stamps will depend on your household income and family size. The more members your household has, the more money you may receive from CalFresh.
For example, if you are s single person on SNAP benefits, you can receive up to $291 in the 48 contiguous States and the District of Columbia. Therefore, this is the maximum amount for an individual in California as well. These amounts will be slightly higher in October after the 2025 COLA increase.
