USDA, through the Food and Nutrition Service, has announced the payments in August. The SNAP payment schedule unveiled that there are several places where recipients will only receive Food Stamps through August 10.
Therefore, if you are on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program in these places, and you have not received your payments on your EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) card so far, you may receive it in the 3 following days.
States sending SNAP benefits through August 10
As a matter of fact, there are 9 States that will continue sending Food Stamps through August 10. Hence, they will only be issuing payments for 3 more days. Some may receive money on August 7, but others may have to wait until August 8, 9, or 10.

- Oklahoma
- South Carolina
U.S. Territories or District
- Guam
- The District of Columbia
When it comes to payment amounts in the United States, it will depend on the State where you live. Inflation affects States like Hawaii and Alaska much more. So they receive higher SNAP amounts. In the same way, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands get more money per month.
Who can receive $2,581 in SNAP benefits in the United States?
According to USDA’s Fiscal Year 2024 Cost-of-Living Adjustments Factsheet, Guam will send up to $2,581 for a family of 8 if they qualify for the maximum allotment. That is, they do not get any reductions because of other resources or earnings they have. Or simply because they have no earnings and no resources at all.
Bear in mind that the largest SNAP benefit amount for a family of 8 in the 48 contiguous States and the District of Columbia is worth $1,751. Thus, there is a considerable difference between the amount recipients get in Guam and in the 48 contiguous States. Guam will send Food Stamps from Aug. 7-10 to those recipients whose SSN ends in 7, 8, 9, or 0.
If you live in California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Nevada, Oklahoma, or South Carolina and you have not received money on your EBT card yet, you will receive it on August 7, 8, 9, or 10 because they are the final Food Stamp payments.
