USDA and the Food and Nutrition Service have confirmed the maximum SNAP amounts in the USA. It will depend on where you live whether you get one of the highest Food Stamp payments or not.

For example, the lowest maximum SNAP amounts are in the 48 contiguous States and the District of Columbia. However, if you live in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, Hawaii, or Alaska, you may get more money. This is because these areas have higher inflation and a higher cost of living.

State where you can receive $3,487 on SNAP (Food Stamps)

Alaska is where Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program recipients can receive the most money. The thing is your maximum amount will not depend on the household size, but also on the area (urban or rural) where you are currently living.

For example, a SNAP recipient in Alaska can receive up to $374 (living in an Urban area), up to $477 (living in Rural 1), or up to $581 (in Rural 2). If compared to an individual in the 48 contiguous States and the District of Columbia, a beneficiary can only get up to $291 there.

A family of 8 can obtain a Food Stamp payment of up to $3,487 in areas known as Rural 2. Bear in mind that to receive full amounts you must have no or little earnings and no resources. Most States only pay up to $1,751 if you are 8.

Which other States send money in just 4 days?
