Texas will be the other State that will be sending Food Stamps through May 28, 2024. Only those SNAP recipients who certified after June 1, 2020 get benefits from the 16th to the 28th.
Texas, unlike other States that prefer SSN or last names first letter, uses the last 2 digits of their Eligibility Determination Group (EDG) number. Let’s have a look at the eligible EDG numbers for May 26, 27 and 28.
ELIGIBLE SNAP RECIPIENTS IN TEXAS NEXT WEEK
The next Food Stamp recipients will be for those whose EDG ends in 35-48. These recipients will receive their next Supplemental Security Income payment on May 26.
May 26 will also be your payday if your SNAP EDG number ends in 89-92 and you live in Texas. The eligible EDG numbers will be those ending in 39-41, 46-49, and 93-95 to get Food Stamps on May 27.
If your EDG ends in 42-45, 50-53, or 96-99, your SNAP benefits will be due on May 28. If your EDG number ends in 0, you will receive your next payment next week too, but it will be in June.
HOW MUCH CAN TEXANS RECEIVE NEXT WEEK FROM SNAP?
The maximum amount a family of four can receive from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program is $973. Therefore, there can be higher or lower payment amounts depending on your household size.
If you are a person that lives on your own, you can receive from the Food Stamps program up to $291. Families of 2 can get up to $535 and $766 if you are three members.
Obvioulsy, the lowest your earnings are, the closer to these maximum amounts your SNAP benefits will be. If you have no earnings and no money on hand and you are 8, you can receive up to $1,751.
