The State of Texas will continue issuing SNAP payments through December 28, 2024. To know if you receive monthly payments early or later in the month, you need to check USDA’s schedule. According to it, you must know your Eligibility Determination Group number. It is also known as EDG. So, if your EDG ends in 2, you will receive the next Food Stamps on December 5.

SNAP payments will be due on December 6th if your EDG number ends in 3. Those Food Stamp recipients in Texas whose EDG ends in 4 will get money on their their EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) card on December 7. EBT uses the Lone Star Card in Texas to send benefits.

SNAP payments from December 9 through December 15

USDA confirms that recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program whose EDG number ends in 5 in Texas will receive money on December 9. So, make sure you check your Lone Star card balance on the 9th.

December 11th will be the SNAP payday for those Food Stamp recipients whose EDG number ends in 6. If it ends in 7, it will be issued on December 12. Then, the next payday will be on the 13th if your EDG number ends in 8.

To get your Food Stamps on the 15th, your EDG must end in 9. For your information, the payments from December 1st through the 15th, will be for those who certified before June 2020.

SNAP payments after December 15

In this case, there can be more than one number to receive your Food Stamps on the same payday. For example, those SNAP recipients whose EDG ends in 00-03, 54-57 will receive their payment on the 16th.
