SNAP PAYDAY ELIGIBILITY

Each State Administers payment dates and the way to distribute SNAP benefits in their State. Some States even have a different name for the Food Stamps program. For instance, California refers to it as CalFresh. Texas has a Lone Star Card rather than an EBT card.

While some States use Social Security Numbers to arrange paydays, others prefer Eligibility Determination Group Numbers, case numbers, last names’ first letters among other ways. Some States like Oregon use the last digit of the SNAP recipient’s SSN.

If you receive Food Stamps in Oregon and your SSN ends in 0 or 1, you will receive SNAP benefits on May 1. Those whose SSN ends in 2 in Oregon get it on May 2, 2024. Check the full list for all States at USDA’s website: https://www.fns.usda.gov/snap/monthly-issuance-schedule
