SNAP payments starting from October in these States, Food Stamp checks worth up to $1,756

USDA has confirmed that these States will start delivering SNAP benefits to Food Stamp recipients in just 2 days, so check your EBT card then

Some States started sending SNAP money to eligible recipients on October 1. However, not all have begun on that day and a few of them will deliver Food Stamps from October 4.

According to USDA and the Food and Nutrition Service, these are the States that will begin issuing SNAP benefits on the 4th in the USA:  Alabama, Arkansas, Maryland, Minnesota, and Mississippi.

Eligibility for SNAP benefit payments on October in Alabama and Arkansas

Alabama will be sending Food Stamps from October 4th through October 23. To know when your payment will be due, you need to check the last 2 digits of your SNAP case number. For example, if your case number ends in 00-04, your payment will be on your EBT card on October 4.

Apart from Alabama, Arkansas will also be sending Food Stamps from October 4. However, the State of Arkansas will send SNAP benefits through October 13 only. Besides, you will need to check your Social Security Number (SSN). SSN ending in 0 or 1 means you get Food Stamps on October 4.

As for the maximum amount an individual can receive, it is up to $292 after the 2025 COLA increase. Families of four can receive up to $975 and if you are 8 you could receive up to $1,756. These maximum amounts are the same in the 48 contiguous States.

Eligibility for SNAP benefit payments on October in Maryland, Minnesota and Mississippi

Maryland will be delivering SNAP benefit payments from October 4 through October 23. This State uses the first 3 letters of your last name claims USDA. For example, if the first three letters of your last name are between AAA and BAO, your Food Stamps will be sent on October 4.

Those who live in Minnesota need to have a look at their case number. If it ends in 4, your Food Stamps will be in your EBT card on October 4. If it ends in 1, on the 11th, so 0 on the 10th.

Last but not least, SNAP payments in Mississippi. Even if they also start on October 4, checks will only be sent until October 21, 2024. USDA says that you will need to have a look at the last 2 digits of your case. Those ending in 00-04 will receive money on October 4.
