SNAP beneficiaries can take advantage of the SUN Bucks Program or Summer EBT. Getting 120 per eligible child is possible in many States. Some Tribes, territories, and the District of Columbia can also enjoy them.
Texas and Florida are not the only States that opted out of this Summer EBT program. In fact, it is not possible to get SUN Bucks in Alabama, Alaska, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Mississippi, Oklahoma (only tribes take part in it), South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming.

No SNAP Summer EBT?
Those citizens who live in a State where SUN Bucks are not available should look for alternatives. One possible way could be applying for other SUN programs available in their State.
Even if SNAP benefits are available in all 50 States, SUN Bucks is a different program. For example, The SUN Meals program would be a great choice to save money on food.
For your information, SUN Meals are available at parks or schools. Other locations may be possible depending on the area of the United States that you live in.
What if I live in a rural area and get no SNAP Summer EBT benefits?
Sometimes rural areas do not have access to SUN Meals at parks and schools. Therefore, they should look for the SUN Meals To-Go. So, both alternatives could be of great support with the current high cost of living and soaring food prices.
Do not forget that these programs are free and there is no extra cost. So getting snacks and meals will be possible even if the program has a completely different name.
