Retirees are about to start receiving their November Social Security payments. The Agency has scheduled a payday 2 days ahead of schedule and one day after Halloween.
In this way, millions of eligible retirees will receive a payment from Social Security in advance. Remember that retirement benefit payments are only for those citizens who have filed and gotten approval.
Eligibility for Social Security in early November, right after Halloween
The next payment that the Administration has scheduled will be issued on November 1. This is not common because retirees can get the first check of the month on the 3rd.
However, November 3 will not be a payday because it is Sunday, and banks and SSA offices will be closed on that date. As a consequence, eligible retirees will get their money before they expect it.
What is more, these Americans on Social Security retirement benefits will not be the only citizens collecting a payment on that date. Do you qualify for Supplemental Security Income payments?
SSI and Social Security will be issued on November 1, 2024
The Supplemental Security Income is usually delivered to recipients’ bank accounts on November 1. This month will be no exception. So, those retirees who receive their retirement payment on November 1 and also qualify for SSI will receive 2 payments on the same day.
As for the amounts, retirees aged 62 or older can get an average payment of about $1,921. SSI beneficiaries can collect checks of about $697. But the exact amount will depend on your earnings, resources, and work history. Here are the maximum payments for retirees on November 1:
- those who filed at 62 can get up to $2,710
- those who filed at Full Retirement Age can get up to $3,822
- those who filed at 70 can get up to $4,873
For your information, none of these payments will include the COLA increase. It will be sent on December 31, 2024, for SSI and January 2025 for retirees and SSDI recipients.
