April is just around the corner and some retirees are waiting for their money as it if were a breath of fresh air. Especially, those getting Social Security early in the month.
After March 27, Social Security has announced that there will be 5 different payments in the United States. The first check of up to $1,415 will be for eligible SSI recipients.
April 3 will be the first retirement payment next month. After that, there will be three more payments for retirees. April 10, 17, and 24 will be the payment dates for seniors on Social Security.
$4,873 SOCIAL SECURITY PAYMENT ELIGIBILITY
The largest check the Administration can pay in 2024 is worth $4,873. To get it, you must meet 4 conditions, which may not be easy at all for most American workers.
If you do not meet all the requirements the Administration has set, you will not be able to receive $4,873 in April 2024. Check the full list of conditions to qualify for this huge check.
- File at the age of 70 for Social Security.
- Work for at least 35 years.
- Earn the taxable maximum (contribution & benefit base) for 35 years.
- Pay enough payroll taxes to SSA in jobs covered by SSA.
PAYDAYS AND ELIGIBILITY
If you started receiving Social Security retirement benefits before May 1997, your payment will be due on April 3. If you didn’t, you will receive your payment on one of the following possibilities.
- April 10: retirees whose birthdays are from the 1st to the 10th
- April 17: retirees whose birthdays are from the 11th to the 20th
- April 24: retirees whose birthdays are from the 21st to the 31st
For your information, the amount of your payment can be much lower. It will depend on your earnings, filing age, and years of work. As a matter of fact, the average check is just $1,910.
