Some retirees and some SSDI recipients who receive Social Security may get payments on the same day. For example, if you got benefits after April 30, 1997, and have the same birthday.

Those are the 2 key requirements to get Social Security in mid or late June. As for the amounts, it could be an average payment of $1,915, but some may receive less money.

Mid-June Social Security payments

If you have your birth date from the 1st to the 10th, your next Social Security direct deposit will be before mid-June, on the 12th. Then, 6 days after the June 12 payment, another check will be due.

It will be a little later than mid-June, on June 18. In fact, this money is arriving one day before the usual due date. June 19 should have been the payday but it is a Federal holiday. To be eligible your birthday must be from 11-20.

The maximum amount will be $4,873 and the average payment for all retired workers is about $1,915. If you had a low wage as a worker and/or did not work for at least 35 years, expect less money.

Late-June Social Security direct deposits

The last SSDI and retirement benefits will be arriving on June 26. The Administration will ensure that all recipients’ birthdays are from the 21st to the 31st.  If you started receiving benefits, SSDI or retirement, before May 1997, your next payday will be in July.

As a matter of fact, it will be due on July 3, the most common payment date for these beneficiaries. Supplemental Security Income recipients who are on Social Security too will receive a payment on July 1 (SSI) and retirement and SSDI on July 3, 2024.

The maximum amount for SSDI is $3,822 and $1,537 is the average SSDI. SSI recipients can get up to $943 (single), $1,415 (married) and the average payment for all recipients is about $698. Apply for SSI if your June payment is too low.
