Social Security payments are already over in October for millions of retirees who received money from the Agency on October 3 and October 9. What is more, Black Friday is just around the corner. Actually, it will take place on Friday, November 29, 2024.
Bear in mind that time flies and you may need to save money to buy a gift or you fancy a nice treat but you can’t afford it due to soaring prices and inflation. The retirement benefit payment or your SSDI check may come in handy to make any purchases on this big day.
Social Security payments in November before Black Friday
The Administration has scheduled the November payments for those who:
- got benefits before May 1997
- are also receiving SSI benefits apart from Social Security
The date the Social Security Administration has set for those who started collecting retirement or SSDI benefit payments before May 1997 will be November 1. Yes, it will not be due on November 3 because it is on the weekend.
Also, those who receive Supplemental Security Income on November 1 will get their Social Security payment from the 3rd on the 1st because the payment has been rescheduled. Of course, you must have also filed for retirement or SSDI benefits apart from SSI to get 2 checks. This will not be the only group to get a payment before Black Friday.
Other Social Security payments before Black Friday after November 1
The Agency has set three payments for retirees or SSDI recipients on the second, third, or fourth Wednesday in November. Thus, the paydays will be due on November 13, 20 and 27.
To get money from Social Security on these dates before Black Friday comes, you must have your birthday from 1-10 (Nov. 13), 11-20 (Nov 20) or 21-31 (Nov. 27).
Surprisingly, many SSI recipients will get their monthly payment on Black Friday. However, this will be their payment for December. Even if it is sent in advance because December 1 is Sunday. Average payments will be about $1,920 for retirees and the largest payments of up to $4,873 for high-earner retired workers.
