Disability benefits are not over in November. In fact, there are 3 SSDI payments left on Social Security. What is more, if you do not receive Social Security Disability Insurance payments, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients are not over either in November. The Administration has scheduled the payment for December on November 29.
As a matter of fact, the next SSDI will not be arriving this week. So, eligible recipients will have to wait until next week. For your information, only those who meet the birthday requirement can receive their Social Security check in November.
Payments for SSDI on Wednesdays
Social Security Disability Insurance payments will be next issued on November 13. This payday will be for those Americans with a disability who:
- got approval from Social Security after April 30, 1997
- are not eligible for SSI
- were born before the 11th of any month
The Administration will then send disability payments on November 20 and November 27. The requirements to get money on the last 2 SSDI payments in November are similar. But what is different is the birth date you must have.
- those born from 11-20 (payment on November 20) and from 21-31 (payment on November 27)
SSDI payment amounts in November before the 2025 COLA
Since the 2025 COLA increase does not come into effect until January 3 for Disability Insurance beneficiaries, the maximum amounts and average payments will not change in November 13, 20 or 27.
On average, SSDI recipients can get about $1,539 as of September 2024. Spouses of workers with a disability can also receive a monthly payment of about $421, while eligible children of workers with a disability of about $492.
The largest SSDI payment will be up to $3,822, once the 2025 COLA increase comes into effect it will be about $4,018. To get so much money you must have earned the contribution and benefit base for 35 years in jobs that paid enough taxes to SSA. Filing as late as SSA allows is also required.
