Now, the average payment for retirees is about $1,907. This is slightly higher than in 2023. The reason why retirement benefits are higher in 2024 is because of the Cost of Living Adjustment increase.

Social Security Disability Insurance average payment is worth $1,537 for workers with a disability. Hence, the amount is much smaller. This is because workers with a disability cannot pay the same taxes as a retirees because of their disability.

ELIGIBILITY FOR FEBRUARY 14 – SAINT VALENTINE’S DAY

To get Social Security on February 14 you must have filed from May 1997 onward, but not before that date. Secondly, this payment is only for those whose birth date is from 1-10.

That is, you cannot have filed before May 1997 and your birthday must be from the 1st to the 10th of any month. If you do not qualify for this Social Security payment date, you could receive your money on February 21 or February 28.

Retirees and people on disability benefits whose birthdays are from 11-20 will get their Social Security checks on February 21. It will be on the 28 if your birthday is from 21-31. If you started receiving benefits before May 1997, your payday will be on March 1.
