Depending on your earnings as a worker, the number of years you worked for, and the age you filed, your amount could be higher or lower. The average check for retired workers is of about $1,910 as of February 2024.

Children do not get so much on average. Social Security announced that their average check is worth about $892.04. Retired workers who were high earners could receive up to $4,873. Other possible large payments are up to $2,710 at 62 and $3,822 at Full Retirement Age.
PAYMENTS FROM SOCIAL SECURITY ARRIVE THIS WEEK
April 10 will be the second payday for retirees. However, the three remaining benefits are just for those who have been on benefits after April 30, 1997. If you got them before, May 3 will be your next payment date. If on SSI and Social Security, May 3 is also your payday.
If you qualify for the April 10 check, it is because your birthday is from 1-10. Those whose birthdate is not from 1-10 will get money from Social Security on April 17 or 24.
Birthdays from 11-20 will imply getting your payment on April 17. The last check will be due on April 24 but only if the day you were born is from 21-31. Social Security will pay disability benefits on the same paydays. The birthday requirements are the same for those citizens on SSDI benefits in the USA.
