The first SSI payment will be due on August 1. Bear in mind that Social Security tends to schedule these payments for the first day of the month. However, there can be some changes because the payday falls on a holiday or the weekend.

Why has Social Security scheduled 2 SSI payments for August?
For your information, it is not a bonus and it is not an extra payment. The second SSI payment will be sent on August 30, 2024, because September 1 falls on the weekend.
Since Social Security can only send payments on business days, SSI recipients will get the September payment in advance. So, save that money for September and do not spend it before September comes.
Sunday, September 1 will not be the normal SSI payday then. Thus, you could plan your monthly budget taking into account that your money will be in your bank account 2 days in advance.
SSI checks of up to $943 & eligibility
To be eligible for a Supplemental Security Income check worth $943 you must qualify for the maximum benefit amount. It will be easier to achieve if you have no other earnings, no money on hand, or resources.
Eligible married couples can get up to $1,415 from the Supplemental Security Income. Lower payments should be expected if you are an essential person receiving this benefit. An essential person can receive up to $472. On average, recipients can get about $697 per month.
If you are aged 65 or older, you could get about $574. Those aged 18-64 can receive about $743. Since some children may get S.S.I., their average payment is about $815. Retirees and SSDI recipients with low income can also apply for SSI and get this payment at the same time.
