Social Security Disability Insurance or SSDI brings new payments in July

SSDI payments will be arriving as early as July 10 for eligible disability benefit recipients in the United States. Of course, you can only receive one of the 3 remaining checks or direct deposits.

If you get Supplemental Security Income or received disability benefits before May 1997, this check will not be for you. Apart from these 2 conditions, your birthday must fall on specific days only.

SSDI eligibility for July

If you are on Social Security Disability Insurance and did not qualify for the July 3 payment, your payday could be July 10, 17, or 24. The birthday requirement is essential to be eligible.

For example, if you were born from the first to the tenth of any month, your SSDI check or direct deposit is due on July 10. Those who are not eligible for the July 10 payment, may qualify for one of the other 2 paydays.

July 17 will be your payment date if your birthday falls from 11-20. Some disability beneficiaries will have to wait until July 24 to cash their checks. If you are on SSI and SSDI at the same time, August 2 will be your next payday.

SSDI payment amounts in July

Although you may get Social Security Disability Insurance benefit payments as long as you remain eligible, your amount may be reduced if you work. So, report any changes to the Agency to avoid overpayments.

The maximum amount for SSDI is $3,822, which is the same as for those who file at Full Retirement Age. To get so much money you must have worked for a minimum of thirty-five years.

This will not be enough since you must have earned the taxable maximum all those years and have had jobs covered by the Social Security Administration. The thing is a disability can prevent you from getting the highest payments. No one knows when the unthinkable can happen.
