These are the payment dates for some disabilty beneficiaries who get SSDI

SSDI payments are due on March 1. However, these checks will only be for two groups of recipients. If you started receiving Social Security before May 1997, this check may be yours.

Those who are on both SSI and Social Security will also receive their Disability Insurance payment on the first day this month. Part of the SSI beneficiaries have a disability, so March 1 will also be their payday.

What is more, if you get SSDI and SSI, you will get two payments on the very same day. But what if you filed for benefits and got them after May 1997?

SSDI FOR RECIPIENTS AFTER MAY 1997

If the Social Security Administration began sending your disabiltiy checks after or in May 1997, your payment dates will be on a different day. Actually, there are three possibilities, March 13, 20, and 27.

The Administration arranges payments depending on the day you were born. Therefore, the earlier in the month your birthday was, the faster you will get your check in March.

SSDI AMOUNTS FOR MARCH 13, 20 & 27

While those on Disability Insurance can get up to $3,822. SSI recipients with a disability or blind can get up to $943 (single) or $1,415 (married). To get the largest Social Security Disability Insurance, you must meet 4 requirements.

Working in jobs covered by Social Security for 35 years, earning the taxable maximum all that time, and filing late. The earlier you file, the smaller your benefit will be.

However, it is not possible to choose when to file when a disability appears. That is why the average Social Security Disability Insurance is just $1,537. Expect lower payments if you did not work for many years and your salary was low.
