Some SSDI recipients got their monthly payments on March 1. However, they were only two groups of beneficiaries. Those on Social Security before May 1997 and those who are on SSI and Disability Insurance/retirement at the same time.
The Government, through Social Security, has announced the next three payments. In fact, the first one of the Wednesday round of checks will be due on March 13.
To qualify for this SSDI check you must have your birth date from 1-10. The next two paydays will be one week or two weeks later after the Wednesday, March 13 payday.
SSDI ON MARCH 20 & 27
Social Security will send disability benefits on March 20 if your birthday is from 11-20. Therefore, the later your birthday is, the longer you will have to pay for your payment.
SSDI recipients whose birthdays are from the 21st to the 31st will get a check on March 27. The amount of your disability benefit will depend on different factors.
For example, if you filed close to retirement, you were a high earner and you worked for at least 35 years, you may receive the maximum SSDI check in 2024.
DISABILITY BENEFIT AMOUNTS FOR MARCH
Regardless of the payday, all the maximum amounts are exactly the same in 2024. For instance, if you qualify for the largest payment, you can get up to $3,822 in 2024, up from $3,627.
All SSDI checks will bring the 2024 COLA increase in March. So, all disability beneficiaries will take advantage of the 3.2% boost from Social Security. Still, it is a smaller increase than in 2023.
The average check for all workers with a disability is about $1,537. Some recipients may get a lot less if they filed early because of their disability. If your payment is too low, apply for SNAP and SSI benefits ASAP.
