SSDI payments for June are over for 2 groups of recipients who got money from Social Security on the 3rd and the 12th. Once the rest receive money on June 18 and June 26, they need to prepare the budget for the next month, July.
Disability benefits can also be for those on SSI, the Supplemental Security Income. In fact, they are always the first ones to get money. SSI will be due on July 1 and it will be the only payday for all recipients.

First SSDI checks in July 2024
The Social Security Administration has scheduled the first Disability Insurance payment for July 3. Only 2 different groups of disability recipients can receive this payments.
For example, if you qualify for both SSI and SSDI, your next payment date will be July 3. Some Disability Insurance recipients have a low income, so they can also apply for SSI and get both checks simultaneously.
The rest of the recipients who can get SSDI on July 3 will be those on Social Security before May 1997. Do not forget that you need SSA’s approval before you can receive disability benefits.

If you started getting Social Security Disability Insurance after April 30, 1997, your payday could be July 10, 17, or 24. For your information, the Administration will use your birth date to arrange payment dates.
For instance, if you were born from the first to the tenth of any month, your next payday will be July 10. If it is from the 11th to the 20th, you will get money from Social Security on July 17.
The last payday will be July 24 for those SSDI recipients whose birthdays are from 21-31. The average Disability Insurance check is worth $1,537. Some high earners can get up to $3,822 from SSA.
