SSDI recipients will get their last payment of the year. Before 2024 comes, some disability beneficiaries will get a check of up to $3,627. This will be the last round of payments for Social Security. While some got it on December 1, 13, and 20, others must wait until December 27, 2023.

This last payment is only for those who did not qualify for any of the previous SSDI checks in December. Hence, they must have received benefits after May 1, 1997, and meet the birthday requirement.
The birth date is so important because it is the way Social Security arranges SSDI payments. So, if your birthday is from 21-31, you will receive your monthly payment.
For example, if you started collecting benefits between May 1997 and December 2023, and your birthday is on the 22nd, you will receive your SSDI on December 27.
SSDI payments may last for many years until you reach Full Retirement Age. So, if you have a disability that prevents you from working, apply for disability benefits.

There is no fixed amount for all SSDI recipients. The amount of your monthly disability benefit will depend on your previous earnings. The higher your salary was, the higher your payment will be up to $3,627 in 2023.
In 2024, the new maximum amount will be $3,822 for SSDI recipients. Very few Americans qualify for the largest Social Security though. Average payments are more frequent. For instance, if you get an average SSDI payment, your check will be about $1,489 in 2023.
After the COLA boost, it will become 3.2% larger. Even if it does not seem like a large increase, it is higher than average. The average SSDI payment for 2024 will be $1,537. As a matter of fact, the average increase will be $48. Not far from the $50 increase for all Social Security beneficiaries.
