SSDI payments are about to arrive for those who are eligible in the United States. Bear in mind that there are two different checks for people with a disability and some beneficiaries may even get the two of them.
SSDI is a disability benefit you can only get if you meet Social Security’s strict definition of disability. Besides, you must have worked first and paid taxes to the Administration.
If you have not earned enough work credits, you may qualify for the second possibility. Supplemental Security Income can be an alternative or a Supplement to SSDI.
WHEN IS THE NEXT SSDI PAYMENT FROM SOCIAL SECURITY?
If you have already filed for Social Security and are eligible, there are three more payments in October. The following payment for those citizens on SSDI will be on October 11, 2023.
This payment will only be for those who filed for benefits after May 1997. What is more, your birth date is essential to check if you collect some money or not. The October 11 payment is for those whose birthday is between the first and the tenth.
Those who are not eligible for this disability payment must wait until October 18 or even October 25. As a matter of fact, those who filed for Social Security after May 1997 get payments from the second to the fourth Wednesday of October.
Therefore, the second round of Wednesday payments will arrive on October 18 for those whose birth date is from the eleventh to the twentieth. On the fourth Wednesday, the last payment will be ready for the eligible beneficiaries. Thus, the last SSDI check will reach some bank accounts on October 25th.
As for the largest amount, a beneficiary can cash up to $3,627. However, SSA’s statistics show that those on disability insurance cash an average check of about $1,349 as of August 2023. Workers with a disability get about $1,486. Watch the video and check how to work and get SSDI.
