Some SSDI recipients will not be eligible for the August 2 payment. This is because they do not receive Supplemental Security Income or because they did not start getting Social Security benefits before May 1997.
Therefore, if you are not eligible for the ahead-of-schedule payment on the second, you will receive your SSDI payment on the second, third, or fourth Wednesday in August.

SSDI payments on Wednesdays
Social Security Disability Insurance will not be sent until August 14 if you are on SSDI but do not qualify for the August 2 payment and your birthday is before the eleventh of any month.
August 21 will be your payment date if you are in a similar situation but you were born from the 11th to the 20th. But this will not be the last Wednesday payment.
In fact, there will be one last SSDI direct deposit or check on August 28. To get money on the fourth Wednesday in August you must have been born after the 20th.
SSDI maximum amounts in August
The maximum Disability Insurance payment is worth $3,822. Nevertheless, just a few recipients may get such a large payment. This is because you must have earned the taxable maximum for 35 years, filed as late as SSA allows, and have jobs covered by SSA.
On average, SSDI beneficiaries can collect a payment of about $1,537. As you can see, there is a huge difference between the average amount and the maximum payment.
If your payment is lower than average, you’d better apply for SSI (Supplemental Security Income) and SNAP benefits. Spouses of workers with a disability on benefits may also receive money from Social Security.
The spouse’s average payment is about $420. Children of workers with a disability may also be eligible for benefits and their average amounts can be about $493. Remember that Social Security will send the money on time, but your bank may take up to 3 mailing days to process.
