SSDI payments in September

SSDI is a Social Security program for American workers with a qualifying disability who have worked in jobs covered by the Administration. Since they paid enough taxes to SSA, they can receive monthly payments as long as their disability lasts.

September 3 could be when you receive your monthly payment from Social Security. So, you can now check your bank account to see if your money has been delivered correctly. This will be your payday if you started getting Social Security before May 1997 or if you are an SSI recipient as well.

New dates for SSDI in the upcoming weeks

Social Security Disability Insurance payments will be issued on September 11.  The September 18 payment will be sent on the third Wednesday of September. The last payday will be on September 18. Check eligibility below:

If you have not applied for Disability Insurance benefits and have not received Social Security’s approval, you do not qualify for any of these payments in the United States.

Will there be new payment amounts for SSDI in September?

The payment amounts will remain the same through 2024. SSDI benefits will not increase until January 3, 2025. Thus, disability recipients will get the same amount for the remaining months this year.

On average, they can receive about $1,538. However, some recipients may get a lot less and they may need to apply for Supplemental Security Income benefits, which can give you up to $943 per month.

Disability Insurance recipients who earned the taxable maximum (contribution and benefit base for 35 years) and meet other key requirements can get up to $3,822 in September. Report any changes in work, marital status, or earnings that could affect your payment amount.
