After the October 1 payment for Supplemental Security Income recipients, there will be a new payment on November 1, 2024. November 29 will also be the December payment date. So, recipients will get money in advance.
How much can SSI beneficiaries get from the Federal government?
The Social Security Administration has unveiled in September the average SSI payments for Ausgust. Currently, this average amount is $698. It has had ups and downs since January 2024.
The maximum SSI amount will be $943 for the 2024 payments. Bear in mind that the new COLA will not come into effect until December 31, but for the January payment.
Married couples, if both qualify, can receive up to $1,415. Another group of Americans who could receive Supplemental Security Income payments is essential persons. However, they qualify for the lowest checks or direct deposits since they are just worth $472.
