SSDI and SSI eligibility for late August
SSI recipients will get a new direct deposit on August 30, 2024. This will be the only available payday for all eligible recipients in September. Unlike SSDI, which has 4 different paydays every month.
SSI recipients must report to the Administration any changes affecting eligibility for their September payment on August 30. not doing so may result in either underpayments or overpayments.
Social Security Disability Insurance recipients can get a check or direct deposit on August 28 if they:
- do no receive SSI payments
- did not collect Social Security Disability Insurance before May 1997
- have their birthdays from 21-31 of any month
- filing and approval is required for all SSA payments
