The Social Security Administration’s payment schedule for October shows when SSI recipients will collect their monthly payments. Although sometimes Supplemental Security Income payments are due on the previous business day because the first day of the month is a Federal holiday or the weekend, this payment will be on October 1.
Therefore, there will be no changes at all. SSI recipients can expect their direct deposit or check on October 1, 2024. The thing is you must remain eligible, or else, you will not receive this check. Bear in mind this benefit does not allow exceeding earnings and resource limits.
Who will receive $1,415 from the SSI, the federally funded program?
This is the maximum benefit amount for eligible married couples. For example, if you and your spouse have no earnings and no resources, you just receive Supplemental Security Income, it is more than likely that you get the full amount.
Other recipients may also get the full amount because of their personal circumstances and financial situation. If you are not married, you have 2 different payment amounts.
It is not the same being an eligible individual as an essential person. Individuals can receive the second largest payment amount for SSI, They can get up to $943 if they qualify. While essential persons can only get up to $472.
SSI payment dates and the 2025 COLA
The Social Security Administration has scheduled 3 different paydays in 2024. So, after the October 1 payment, there will be another one on November 1, 2024.
November 1 will not be the only SSI payment scheduled for that month. In fact, the Supplemental Security Income check for December will be issued on November 29, 2024.
So, why is there an SSI payment due on December 31? As a matter of fact, it is for the month of January. Since January 1, 2025, is a Federal holiday, it will be sent ahead of schedule to avoid delays.
