Although there are many States that have joined summer EBT benefits, not all of them have done so. Those States that have not taken part in this initiative are:
Alabama, Alaska, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming. In total, 13 states are not participating in the new and permanent summer EBT benefits in the United States.
While some States may take part in this summer EBT benefits program next year, others claim they would be too costly. Some States also believe that they already have a program and do not need Federal help.
WHICH STATES HAVE JOINED SUMMER EBT BENEFITS?
Among them are in alphabetical order: Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, and the list goes on.
More States that will have summer EBT benefits are New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia & Wisconsin.
Do not forget that a Federal District, some U.S. territories, and some Tribal Nations will also offer summer EBT benefits. They are the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Cherokee Nation, American Samoa, Chickasaw Nation, and the District of Columbia.
