If you are eligible, you will soon cash a stimulus check worth $1,312.00 in the State of Alaska. Despite the fact that there are thousands of Alaskans who have already cashed their money in October, payments are not over.
This stimulus check comes from the 2023 Permanent Fund Dividend in Alaska. As for requirements, there were several you had to meet. There are a few things you have to ask yourself, and the answer to all of them must be affirmative, “yes”.
Were you a resident of Alaska during the whole year in 2022? Do you intend to stay in Alaska and continue being a resident in this state? What is more, you can’t have claimed residency in a different state or country.
DOES THIS STIMULUS CHECK IN ALASKA NEED FILING?
According to the Permanent Fund Dividend, you must file for this stimulus check. Bear in mind the application window goes from January 1st to March 31 every year.
So, if you missed the deadline for the 2023 PFD check, you can file next year for the 2024 PFD payment. The amounts of these payments are not always the same and they are much lower in 2023.
For your information, the 2022 PFD amount was as much as $3,284. Even though beneficiaries receive about $1,972 less, the amount of the 2023 stimulus check in Alaska is still worth it.
Do not forget the next time you file that it is only possible to send one application per person. Therefore, if there are four eligible members in your family, you must send four different applications. Wait until January 1, at 9:00 to send your application form.
WHEN WILL THE PERMANENT FUND DIVIDEND SEND THE STIMULUS CHECK PAYMENT?
If you filed for the PFD payment, you should check your status to see when your payment is due. For example, if on October 18 you could see the message “eligible-not paid”, that means your stimulus check will be ready on October 26.
Do not worry if you filed for the 2023 PFD and you do not qualify for the October 26 payment. When you filed and the sort of payment you requested may change your payday.
For example, those who wanted direct deposit got their money first. If you opted for a paper check or warrant, you may have to wait longer to collect your free money.
Then, the following payment will be on November 16. It is best to check your status on November 8 to see if you are eligible for that payday. Just like before, it should say “eligible-not paid”.
Those citizens in Alaska who think they need to contact the PFD division can just send them an email. Do so in their contact us section. Provide them with your full name, Social Security Number (last four digits), and year of birth. Apply for the 2024 PFD stimulus check as soon as possible next January.
The official PFD Alaska website sends a warning to those who have filed for the 2023 stimulus check. Lately, many Alaskans have reported that they are receiving text messages, emails or even phone calls from scammers. All they want is to have access to their MyAlaska system.
In this way, they can steal their passwords. Of course, thieves just want your password to get the money you are entitled to. If you receive a message from someone telling you to change your password, ignore it and report it. It is more than likely that it is phishing.
Do not ruin your stimulus check payment and make the most of it once you receive it on October 26 or on November 16. Eligible Alaskans are in luck since this is the money they just need.
