After most taxpayers and other eligible applicants have received stimulus check payments from the Federal government, new payments are arriving. On December 1, Alabama started sending their 2023 one-time tax rebate for example.
Washington also offers the possibility to cash a stimulus check payment of $1,200. Families with three or more children may receive the largest payment, while if you have no qualifying children, you can just get $300. The last day to file is December 31, 2023.
Despite the fact that it is possible to get free money in Alaska, it will only be for those who have applied for the Permanent Fund Dividend or PFD stimulus check. Remember that the new date to apply will be on January 1, 2024. So, even if you do not get the 2023 PFD payment, you may qualify for the 2024.
How much can I receive from the stimulus check in Alaska?
PFD amounts in Alaska depend on the year you receive them. For example, last year’s payments were $3,284. While the stimulus checks to arrive in December will just be $1,312. Even if there is a difference of about $1,972, it is still great. Christmas expenses and presents will leave your pockets empty.
If you need to know more about the PFD, you can visit one of their offices. They are usually open on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. Their opening hours are 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. It is not possible to visit them on Thursdays or Wednesdays.
Anyway, the PFD has announced two more payments. The first of the 2 following checks will be on December 14, 2023. Make sure you set an alarm for December 6. This will be the day when you need to have a look at the status of your payment.
If it says that it is eligible on December 6 and that it has not been paid yet, you will receive your stimulus check worth $1,312 on December 14, 2023. The next payment will be on January 18, 2024.
What are the eligibility requirements to get PFD stimulus checks?
In order to get the 2023 PFD payments, applicants had to meet the residency requirements. Therefore if you live in a different State, you will not be able to apply for it next January. Being a resident for the whole calendar year is essential.
Not only do you need to be a resident, but you also must have the intention to continue living in Alaska. Otherwise, you are not eligible for this money. People in Alaska who have claimed residency anywhere else, cannot be eligible for this stimulus check.
There are also restrictions on those citizens who have been incarcerated in 2022. So, make sure you ask the PFD about your eligibility if you have been convicted in the previous year of your application.
Being physically present for at least 72 consecutive hours is a must too. It refers to both 2021 and 2022. Those who are absent from Alaska for more than 180 need to prove that it is an allowable absence. Get ready and apply for this stimulus check in January.
