Receiving a one-time payment in mid-December will be possible for some eligible Americans. A stimulus check worth $1,312 will reach your bank account on December 14. Not everyone can collect this payment and some recipients have recently cashed it on November 16.
This stimulus check will only be sent in Alaska, thanks to the Permanent Fund Dividend. Remember that you must have applied first to receive the money and you will soon be able to apply for a new check in 2024.
If you applied for the 2023 PFD stimulus check and have not gotten your money yet, check your status on December 6. If it says “eligible-not paid” you will collect your payment on December 14, 2023.
When can I apply for a stimulus check in Alaska?
According to the PFD website, the application window for this stimulus check goes from January 1st through March 31 each year. Therefore, you will have to wait until January 2024 to be able to apply for a new payment.
The PFD is administered by the Department of Revenue in Alaska. Do not forget that if several people qualify for the PErmanen Fund Dividend, you will have to send an application for each person.
Even if you have children and they qualify, you must send your application and theirs. If you are 4 in total, you will have to send 4 different applications. After you file and sign electronically your application, you can file and sign your child’s application.
The good thing about this stimulus check is the fact that you can apply online. Filing online will be possible at 9:00 AM on January 1, 2024. Visit the PFD home page and they will have an application portal there.
What if I do not qualify for the December 14 stimulus check payment?
Some people who are eligible may not receive their PFD money in 2023. According to the PFD website, there is another payment on January 18, 2024. This may be unknown if it is the first time you collect this free money.
Do not forget that apart from this payment in Alaska, there are other States sending money and some even allow you to apply. For example, you can still send your application for the Working Families Tax Credit in Washington.
The amount of your refund will depend on the number of children you have. If you do not have any qualifying children you can get a stimulus check worth $300. A family with a qualifying child can receive up to $600.
Those families in Washington with 2 kids that are eligible can get up to 900 dollars. The largest check is $1,200 for those families with 3 ore more qualifying children.
