Most American taxpayers have enjoyed their stimulus check payments. Some may still claim them if they have no obligation to file a tax return. If you live in Alaska, you can apply for a new PFD check.
This PFD payment can give you a lot of money. So, it works as if it were a stimulus check. The best thing about it is the fact that some people can still receive a payment and they can also apply for the next one.
Of course, this stimulus check is only for residents in Alaska. Make sure you meet all the requirements if you live in this State. Do not delay your application because more than 265,000 have already filed.
WHEN IS THE NEXT PFD STIMULUS CHECK DUE?
According to the Department of Revenue in Alaska, the next Permanent Fund Dividend will be due on February 15. So, if you qualified but you have not received your money yet, check your status.
The PFD fund website claims that if you get your payment on February 15, you should check your status on February 7, 2024. Then, it will say if you qualify for this payday or not.
If it says you are eligible but you have not been paid (Eligible-Not paid), your stimulus check will be due on February 15, 2024. If not, you should keep on waiting.
Apparently, the following PFD check is due on March 21. So, it will take a little longer than a month. In this case, the PFD website recommends checking your status on March 13.
WHEN IS THE DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR THE 2024 PFD CHECK?
Every year, the Permanent Fund Dividend application season runs from January 1 through March 31. Therefore, there is still plenty of time to submit this application.
Some applicants make a big mistake when they file. They tend to send one application for the whole family. If you and your family are eligible, you must send as many stimulus check applications as people live in your household.
As long as you are eligible, you can apply online. In this way, you will not have to drive to visit the closest PFD office. Sometimes offices are closed due to severe weather conditions.

To cut a long story short, to be eligible you must have been a resident in 2023, have the intention to live in Alaska, have not claimed residency anywhere else and you were not in jail or absent from Alaska.
