What can SNAP recipients on SUN Bucks buy with Summer EBT?

According to the Food and Nutrition Service, there are several things that you can buy with SUN Bucks. First of all, you can buy fruits and vegetables. Secondly, you can purchase fish, meat, and poultry.

USDA confirms that families on SNAP and on SUN Bucks can buy non-alcoholic drinks and snack foods. Bear in mind that Summer EBT can give you up to 120 dollars per child, so you can buy a few meals with that money.

Just like for SNAP benefits, you cannot buy medicine or personal hygiene items. But where can you use SUN Bucks? As a matter of fact, farmer markets, convenience stores, grocery stores and online retailers accept Summer EBT or SUN Bucks. In general, they are the same places as for SNAP or WIC.
