When does Social Security send out the last retirement check for April?
Next April 26th, the Social Security Administration will send out the last of the month’s checks to age-based retirees. Disability beneficiaries will also receive their benefits if they meet the eligibility requirements.
In general, any recipient of a Social Security check can receive the next benefit as long as they meet the requirements. It does not matter if the benefit you have is for disability, age, spouse, etcetera.
However, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients may have different rules, as these benefits are usually processed and sent out in a different manner.

How do I qualify for the last April payment?
In order to receive the last of the April Social Security checks, you must meet two main requirements. The first is that you must have applied for a retirement benefit after 1997.
If you have been collecting your check since before 1997, the Social Security Administration sends your check on the 3rd of each month. Within this group there are no distinctions, since everyone in this group receives the benefit on the same day.
Therefore, if you are in the post-1997 retiree group, the Social Security Administration will send you your next check if you meet the second condition. This other condition is to be born between the 21st and 31st of the month.
