In just a few days the Social Security Administration will send a new retirement check to beneficiaries in the United States. But unlike what many think, this check will not go to all pockets, but to a specific group of Americans.
So it is mandatory to be on the list of eligible beneficiaries to get the new Social Security payment. Otherwise, the payment will arrive on another day in October or even has already arrived. The ideal is to learn the payment schedule well and thus forget the problems with the economic organization at home.
Since many retirees live on Social Security payments alone, it is normal to have to check directly when they will get their payments. This check is critical for thousands of Americans, so we must learn the schedule well.
Regardless of the type of benefit we have, the Administration may send us our next check. With just a couple of requirements, which are two filters related to personal information, we can get the average payment of $1,888 next week in October.
WHO GETS THE NEW OCTOBER SOCIAL SECURITY PAYMENT?
Only one group of Americans will be able to get this new payment. In order to collect the Social Security check, two requirements must be met, as we have already discussed. There is no way to get the payment without meeting both requirements, so we must verify that we are in this group.
The first requirement is none other than having retired after 1997. The second requirement is to have a birthday between the 11th and 20th of the month. This will give us access to the payment on October 18th, 2023.
As for the amount, each retiree has his or her own dollar number on the check. The average Social Security payment is $1,888, but this does not mean that all Americans get the same or a similar figure.
The maximum payment is $4,555 in 2023, but that will change by next year. The COLA will be 3.2%, as already announced, so we will have the sum of that percentage starting in January 2024.
