Not all States will issue SNAP benefits after December 20, some have already issued all their Food Stamps, so check the new paydays

The United States Department of Agriculture has confirmed the SNAP payments left in December. Anyway, let’s focus on the States that will finish delivering Food Stamps on December 20. Some States will continue issuing checks through December 28, for example, Florida and Texas. Others will not send payments until January 1, 2025.

New Mexico, Ohio, Tennessee, and Washington will finish issuing SNAP payments on December 20, 2024. Therefore, there is a maximum of ten days to receive your payment of up to $292 if you are an individual. Michigan Mississippi and North Carolina will do so but through December 21, 2024. December 22 will be the deadline to send food Stamps in Missouri and Puerto Rico.

Eligibility for SNAP in New Mexico and Ohio

New Mexico bases payment dates on the last 2 digits of eligible recipients’ Social Security numbers.

Ohio has a much easier payment schedule, all you have to know is your case number’s last digit. If it ends in 4, you get Food Stamps on the 10th. Those whose case number ends in 5 will receive it on December 12, 2024. If it ends in 6, 7, 8, or 9 it will be issued on December 14, 16, 18, or 20 respectively.

SNAP payments in Tennessee & Washington

Benefits will be made from December 1 through December 20 in Washington. However, USDA has not explained how benefits are distributed. The State of Tennessee also uses Social Security Numbers.

If your last 2 digits end in 45-49, your SNAP benefits will be delivered on December 10 in Tennessee.
