Depending on the State where you live, SNAP benefit payments may arrive on a single payday for all eligible recipients or it can take up to 28 days if you are currently living in Texas or Florida.

SNAP amounts in December 2024
The maximum amounts for December 2024 will remain the same since they will be like that through September 30, 2025. A single person on SNAP can receive up to $292 in the 48 contiguous States.
Those recipients who can get the largest benefit payment will be those with a large family size. Bear in mind that if you are 8 you can get up to $1,756. Alaska will be once more the State to send the largest benefit payments.
Those living in areas known as Rural 2 in Alaska will get up to $586 (individual) and up to $3,516 (an 8-member family). Hawaii, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands also send larger payments due to higher inflation.
