Although at the official level these economic helps are not called stimulus checks nowadays, the reality is that for the citizens of the United States this is the way to know them.
The help of these benefits has always been something really useful since the American government started sending them to the citizens. All Americans who have access to one of the stimulus checks can have a better standard of living.
That is why it is so important to know which states may send out any new checks during the month of October. Before the month is over, some states will be able to send out these payments so that citizens can cash a new check for help.
Check the list and if your state is on it you can enjoy a stimulus check as long as you meet the stated eligibility. If not, remember that new stimulus checks may be coming in the future.
STATES SENDING STIMULUS CHECKS IN OCTOBER 2023
In addition to these states, there are a few more that will be sending out stimulus checks before the end of the year. However, these states already have all the payments set up to send out as soon as possible.
Check to see if your state is on the list:
- Washington. This state has the Working Families Tax Credit. The stimulus check here ranges from $300 to $1,200, depending on the nuclear family. To get the check, several requirements must be met:
- Have a current Social Security number.
- Be between 25 and 65 years of age, although there are some exceptions.
- Have paid taxes in the year 2022.
- Be able to claim the EITC on your 2022 tax return.
- Have lived in Washington State for at least 183 days. This is more than half a year total.
- Minnesota. In this state it is also possible to get one of these stimulus checks. The total amount can be up to $1,300. The amount depends on whether we have any dependents or not. As far as requirements are concerned, there are several:
- Have Minnesota residency in 2021.
- Have filed a Form M1 return in 2021, the 2021 Individual Individual Income Tax/ Form M1PR, Homestead Credit Refund (for Homeowners) or Renter’s Property Tax Refund.
- Have adjusted gross income in 2021 of $150,000 or less for citizens filing jointly. It will be one-half in the case of individual citizens.
In addition to these two states there are others that send stimulus check to Americans, so it is preferable to check that your state sends it so you can apply as soon as possible.
