Even if millions of Americans have already collected a stimulus check payment, some have not done so yet. This is mainly because they ignore they qualify because they do not have the obligation to file a tax return.
However, some Alaskans can receive a payment worth $1,312 from the Permanent Fund Dividend. People commonly know it as PFD. The thing is they could receive this money in May. So get ready for free cash.
WHEN WILL ELIGIBLE ALASKANS RECEIVE A PAYMENT OF $1,312?
According to the Permanent Fund Dividend official website, this new payment will take place on May 16, 2024. Over a month later after the previous PFD check arrived in the bank accounts of some recipients.
To know if you will receive this money from the Permanent Fund Dividend, you must make sure you have filed first. Applications for the 2023 PFD checks are not open. Not even for the 2024 season.
What is more, you must check the status of your 2023 PFD check on May 8. Then, you will see if it says “Eligible-Not Paid”. If so, you will receive the direct deposit or check on May 16.
HOW TO CHECK THE PAYMENT STATUS
The Permanent Fund Dividend division recommends selecting the “myPFD” at https://pfd.alaska.gov/. The easiest way to log in is through myAlaska.
Another way you could have access to your PFD payment status is to provide the Department of Revenue the necessary information online. This will however give you limited information.
PFD will request to select the Dividend Year, your full name, and your Social Security Number. After that, you will need to enter your birthdate. Apart from that, you will have to give them your Driver’s License number.
If you do not have a driver’s license you can also use your ID. As you can see, it will be easier to create a myAlaska account to check your payment status.
