Tax rebate payment amounts

Can I get this rebate if I don’t normally file?
Even if you do not have an obligation to file this tax rebate, you should file a 2021 tax return in New Mexico before May 31, 2024. So, if you are not required to file a State income tax return, do so.
Bear in mind that low-income New Mexicans could get a relief payment instead of a tax rebate. What is more, you may also qualify for a refundable tax credit or rebate.
For example, some low-income taxpayers in New Mexico may qualify for the Low Income Comprehensive Tax Rebate too. Not having tax liability does not mean you could not get some money.
The Taxation & Revenue Department claims that some taxpayers may not want to file a return and they could apply. However, the funds for the HDS application will be limited. So, do not put it off and file before it is too late. Tell your friends about it if they have a low income and did not file a 2021 tax return.
