The Social Security Administration has already issued 2 SSDI paydays, if you received any of the 2, you are not eligible for the remaining disability insurance payments in November. But you may receive SSI if you qualify.

SSDI maximum and average amounts
The largest SSDI payment will be $3,822 in 2024. So, this will also be the maximum benefit on November 20 or 27. On average, disability insurance payments tend to be much lower.
This is because workers need to file earlier than retirees due to their medical condition. The average SSDI payment as of October 2024, is about $1,542. Spouses of workers with a disability receive about $421 on average.
Children of workers with a disability may also qualify for Social Security Disability Insurance checks, and they can be about $495. The 2025 COLA increase will not be included in any of the November payments for disability recipients. January checks will bring the cost-of-living increase.
