The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program is still sending payments in March. It is true that many recipients have already received their SNAP benefits. This money is only for low-income families who qualified.
To get $1,751 you must have a family of 8 and no earnings or resources. But bear in mind that average payments are not low either. According to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, the average SNAP benefit for 8 is worth about $1,196.
If you are a single person, you can get $202 on average, and up to $291. SNAP benefits can give you a lot more than money. It allows beneficiaries to visit museums for free, get double the amount of vegetables among other perks.
