FIRST SOCIAL SECURITY PAYMENT IN APRIL
The first retirement benefit will be for those on retirement benefits before May 1997. Therefore, if you started receiving money from the Administration before that month and year, your check or direct deposit will be in your bank account on April 3. But not just for them.
Another important group of beneficiaries collecting payments on April 3 will be those who have a low income. Thus, if you have a low income and get SSI while on retirement, this will be your payment date.
Americans who are on Social Security retirement benefits but do not qualify for April 3, have three more chances. The other payments will be arriving on April 10, 17 and 24.
