Social Security has already sent out all the checks in April. Of course, if you get a direct deposit, you must have already received your payment from the Administration by now too.
That is the reason why retirees and other beneficiaries must say goodbye to these monthly payments in April. However, there is good news because the first payments will be due in early May. What is more, others will not have to wait as long as in April to get them.

SOCIAL SECURITY PAYMENTS IN MAY
While some retirees on benefits are saying goodbye to the April payments, others welcome the ones in May. May 1 will be the payday for those on Supplemental Security Income or SSI.
After May 1, retirees will get a check on May 3 if on benefits before May 1997. Another possibility to collect payments on May 3 is to be on both SSI and Social Security.
The average payments are worth $1,913 for retirees and $1,536 for SSDI. SSI can give you up to $943 if single. If you do not qualify for any of these payments, Social Security has scheduled payments for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Wednesday in May.
SOCIAL SECURITY AFTER MAY 1997
If you have been receiving retirement or SSDI after May 1997, there are three possible paydays. Checks and direct deposits from Social Security will be arriving on May 8, May 15, and May 22.
Bear in mind that to be eligible for one of these checks you must have filed and got the approval. Moreover, you must meet the birthday requirement Social Security set.

- SSDI or retirement benefits on May 15: if your birthday is from the 11th to the 20th
- SSDI or retirement benefits on May 22: if your birthday is from the 21st to the 31st
