November brings good news for some eligible recipients. The thing is there is no extra payment or bonus, but a Social Security direct payment or check sent in advance.
In this way, Social Security has scheduled the SSI payment for November and the retirement and SSDI payment for November 3 on November 1. That means there will be 2 payments on the very same day.
SSI and Social Security on November 1
SSI recipients will receive their monthly payment on November 1, as usual. Some Supplemental Security Income recipients get this money because they have a low income and theirretirement or SSDI check is not enough.
So, they usually get SSI on the first of November and retirement or SSDI on November 3. This year’s payment schedule brings a big surprise since both paydays have merged this month.
So, those who qualify for both SSI and Social Security on the third will get their retirement or SSDI payment 48 hours in advance. So, they will not have to wait for as much as time as in the previous month.
SSI and Social Security payment amounts for November 1
The maximum payment SSI recipients can receive on November 1 will be $943. That is the largest payment for individuals because eligible married couples can get up to $1,415 from the Federal government.
On average, SSI payments are just about $698 for all recipients and $574 for those aged 65 and older. If you are receiving retirement benefits, the average payment is worth $1,920. Those disability recipients who qualify for SSDI may get an average payment worth $1,539.
Remember that if you receive SSI and Social Security, it is because your income and resources is low. So, the highest payments for Social Security are not for these recipients. Remember that high earners can get up to $4,873 in retirement and up to $3,822 when on SSDI (disability benefit).
